Thank you for your interest in exhibiting at Eastgate Studio Gallery. We offer dedicated two to six week exhibition opportunities for printmakers working across all disciplines. Exhibiting artists benefit from a curated gallery space in the centre of Beverley, professional installation, and promotional support across our digital platforms.

Eastgate Studio Gallery offers three exhibition models to support a range of artistic needs and levels of involvement. All options provide a dedicated two to six week exhibition period within our curated gallery space.
Gallery-administered exhibition
Eastgate Studio administer, hang and steward the exhibition: 45% commissionEastgate Studio Gallery
Artist-hired, gallery-stewarded exhibition
Artist hires the gallery and Eastgate Studio steward the exhibition: £150 per week plus 20% commission.
Artist-hired, self-stewarded exhibition
Artist hires the gallery and stewards their own exhibition: £150 per week, 0% commission.
Application Process
All exhibition applications are submitted through our online Squarespace form. The form collects your contact details, artwork information and preferred exhibition option, and allows you to upload high‑quality images for review.
Once your application has been received, the Gallery will contact you to confirm availability, discuss potential dates and outline the next steps. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. All applications are reviewed in line with our quality and presentation standards.
Applicants should ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete, as it will be used for scheduling, marketing and sales administration throughout the exhibition period.
General Information
Eastgate Studio Gallery welcomes submissions from printmakers across all mediums. All work is reviewed with care, and the Gallery reserves the right to accept or decline any piece at its discretion.
Presentation and Framing Standards
All artworks must arrive professionally presented and ready to hang or display. Presentation includes the back, top and sides of each piece, which should appear clean, well crafted and new.
Framing Requirements
Frames must complement and enhance the artwork without distraction.
Use simple, real‑wood mouldings in black, neutral or natural finishes.
Mats, if used, must be in neutral tones.
Avoid bright, ornate or busy frames, as well as snap‑on or clip frames.
Hang with cord or wire fixed one‑third down the back.
Sawtooth hangers are not accepted.
Glazing must be clean and scratch‑free.
Float mounting is acceptable for works with deckle edges or handmade paper.
Delivery and Labelling
All artworks must be delivered to Eastgate Studio on the agreed date between 11am and 4pm. Works must arrive display‑ready and clearly labelled.

Must be cellophane‑wrapped with a card backing for protection.
Must include the same label information.
Commission
Commission applies to all sold works, including the frame value.
If a frame was purchased from Eastgate Studio, commission applies to the total price minus the frame cost, which will be refunded to the artist.
Artists will be notified by email when a work sells.
Payments for sold works are processed weekly unless otherwise agreed.

Eastgate Studio will helping the planning of your exhibition. This will include for example:
Delivery of framed and unframed prints to Eastgate Studio
Set‑up week and photoshoot if required for website and social media
Preview or meet‑the‑artist event
Exhibition opens
Online exhibition opens at www.eastgatestudio.co.uk if appropriate
Possible meet‑the‑artist session
Exhibition closes date
Possible alternative celebration of the exhibition
Takedown and delivery or collection of unsold prints

Gallery Display
Framed works are hung using the STAS system.
Smaller works may be displayed on plinths.
Unframed prints are displayed in browsers.
Sold works may be taken immediately by the purchaser.
Reserve pieces may be displayed as replacements.
Pricing Consistency
Artists must maintain consistent pricing across all platforms, including the gallery, personal websites, social media and other venues. This supports professional integrity, buyer confidence and fair market value.
Quality Expectations
Eastgate Studio maintains high expectations for craftsmanship and presentation. Works that appear battered, poorly framed or shop‑worn will not be accepted.
All artworks must:
Be in excellent, clean condition.
Reflect the artist’s professional standard.
Be ready for immediate display upon delivery.
