Lisa Joffe studied fine art at Central St Martin’s University of the Arts, London, and is best known for her large-scale, abstract landscapes.  Originally from Sussex, Lisa now lives in Beverley and has been producing the open screen-prints and screen-printed backgrounds to her drawings here at Eastgate Studio.  For Lisa, her artistic creativity is “a bit like a performance.”  There’s a “physical release of using the materials”.  She’s “fascinated” by the process of making.
